just wondering if this is possible.
The bakery in a grocery store will train you to decorate cakes, they probably won't pay that well to start though. You might be able to apprentice with a baker or someone in your city.

Hi, I’m in high school and I’m still wondering if I should go for dancing or pastry cheffing. I just want to know if you are a pastry or any chef and if you can tell me where this career lead you? What do you do now?
food is life and everyone has got to eat… that’s why i went back to school to be a chef. i can’t say that i’ve got my dream job right now.. i mean i work in a retirement home, but it’s giving me vital skills that i can use later, so i guess that it’s not all bad. i’m thinking about starting my own business someday. i would say that if you really want to do it then go for it… it maybe a lot of work but if you do what you love then you can’t go wrong! i would go to the western culinary school the pastry and baking program is really good and it’s mostly hands on so you get to do everything that they teach you and it’s a lot of fun!

If I took Chemistry this year in school would if have any benefit what so ever for me? As the title stated I want to be a pastry chef :3
I am a former chef and any chemistry, economics, business math or marketing courses available to you in High school or college are never going to harm your chances or progress, in fact a stronger background in those subjects may earn you exemptions in culinary school, I had 1 year of Business Admin at the University of Toronto here in Canada before I did my chef’s apprenticeship and it help me quite alot, and 6 years after my chefs program I returned to college and did my culinary management program.
So anything you can get a jump or an edge in before is of great benefit in the end, no matter how far you go.
